Orchestra Of The Wind
2023
The second part of the project, 'Orchestra of the Wind,' was designed based on the information gathered and presented in the first part of the project, 'Did You See The Wind?' This second part explores how something that cannot be seen can be understood and made visible to human senses based on the collected information.
The Orchestra of the Wind Pavilion emerges as a sanctuary, inviting individuals into the enchanting realm of the 'third space,' a space seamlessly connecting them to the intangible force of the wind. It includes a careful understanding of how the wind shapes the region, reflections on the area's industrial history, an awareness of ongoing activities, and consideration of the needs of its visitors.
Functioning as a living archive, the pavilion echoes the interplay between humans and the elemental forces guiding the wind. It gracefully weaves threads of tradition and innovation, paying homage to the industrial past.
Central to its design are four installations, each paying homage to a musical instrument. These installations serve as portals, inviting individuals to traverse tangible boundaries. Visitors are encouraged to actively engage, feel the pulsating presence of the wind, and become notes in this symphony.
Within the pavilion, the experience of embodying the wind takes center stage. Form, function, and interaction merge in a symbiotic dance, where each element dynamically influences and is influenced by the others. This design philosophy enables the pavilion to breathe and evolve harmoniously with the wind and the individuals inhabiting its space. It becomes a canvas of endless transformation, a living testament to the interconnectedness of humans and the wind.
